Pets and Goblins
#OnTuesdaysWeDraw – November 2025
This month I completed my new comic, Goblins and Greedy Choices! It’s been a whirlwind of a month and when I lookback I can’t quite believe it’s all finished. The printing company managed to turn it around within a week, which was very exciting when they arrived the morning that I was driving to Thought Bubble Comic Con! I’m not sure I’ll be cutting it that close to the deadline again for my own sanity, but I am so happy with how it’s turned out.
For those who missed my last newsletter Goblins and Greedy Choices is an adventure comic that asks you to pick-your-path through the book, creating a different story each time you read it! Can you help three goblins to get their wishes granted before sunset?
The book is filled with questions and different paths for you to turn down. Some of the path’s lead to different wishes, and some to the goblins playing with magic they don’t understand. It’s these paths that I enjoy drawing the most as it gives me the freedom to really play around with what could ‘go wrong’ and add some fun, silly energy into the drawings.
I’ve also enjoyed adding little details, like the goblin shape in the question mark and a sidequest on the back page of items to find throughout the book. It’s these extra bits that play to the big kid in me, and give the book a few more elements to explore on different read-throughs.
Now that I’m back from Thought Bubble I’ve added the comic to my Etsy shop, so you can find it here - https://anidoodle1.etsy.com - there’s still time to pick up a copy for Christmas!
My weekends have been filled with comic conventions and Christmas fairs and I’m so grateful to everyone who comes along to them and supports small makers and creators like me. This weekend I’m heading to Birmingham MCM, I haven’t been to an MCM in Birmingham since 2018 so it will be interesting to see how it’s grown. I’m in Artist Alley T06, so if you’re at the event come along and say Hi!
In December I have two final Christmas Fairs, one local to me in High Wycombe and the other at the Crafty Fox Market at The Crossing, Kings Cross!
What else are you working on?
Throughout December I’ll be doing a drawing a day for advent as my own online calendar #DailyElfcare. This year I’ve decided to go for the theme of pets at Christmas and already have lots of fun ideas in my head for animals to draw. Hopefully you’ll see your furry friends in some of them. You can see them each day on Instagram @anidoodle1 of Facebook @anidoodle.
Thank you for following along,
Kat
